Why I’m Creating Toolkits for Every Writer (and Every Genre)

When I started FireScript Press, I thought it would just be about books—getting words into the world. But along the way, I kept running into the same realization: writers…including me… have inspiration, but need tools to complete the vision.

  • How do you design a book cover that actually sells?

  • How do you organize devotional thoughts without losing the thread?

  • How do you map a story, plan a message, or pitch a book without drowning in guesswork?

That’s why I started creating toolkits—one-pagers, checklists, blueprints. Practical resources that take the mystery out of publishing and give writers a clear path forward.

It’s not glamorous work. It’s not the kind of thing that trends on social media. But I’ve seen how much freedom it gives to move from idea → draft → launch. Because clarity creates courage.

And here’s the bigger picture: FireScript Press is more than a clever move to self-publish. It’s about building a house where any writer—devotional, fiction, nonfiction, or memoir—can find the tools and support they need to carry their message to the world.
