QuickBooks, Freelance IDs, and the Faith to Fund the Dream

When I first started building FireScript Press, I assumed the hardest battles would be creative—writing, editing, shaping reflections, honing my craft. But some of the most stretching moments came in areas I never expected: financial systems, marketing, and paperwork.

More Than Creativity: The Hidden Battles of Building

Setting up QuickBooks. Applying for a freelance ID. Researching platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. None of these sound “spiritual,” but they’re part of the calling because vision without structure eventually collapses.

Why Systems and Structure Matter for Vision

I’ll be honest—I sighed at idea of structure at first. I didn’t want to think about chart of accounts, invoices, clients, or compliance. I wanted to stay in the world of inspiration and words, but the Spirit kept nudging me: stewardship is worship too.

Stewardship as Worship

Every spreadsheet I set up, every form I fill out, is more than compliance or convenience. It’s my way of saying: “Lord, I trust You to provide, and I’ll build systems that can hold the blessing when it comes.”

Because FireScript Press is more than burning words on a page. It’s about creating a structure where those words can inform, uplift, multiply, and sustain a mission.

🔥 Don’t overlook the “boring” parts of building your dream. The dream is built in two places—inspiration and infrastructure.
